Anke Weiss

You can never have too many nice lamps right? Well anyway, I came across these beautiful lamps created from old cartons for milk, cereals and washing detergent. Anke Weiss has her studio in Amsterdam, like som many other designer talents! And the beauty of it is really that it´s recycling. So again you see that fun and interesting design doesn´t have to cost a fortune.

Tom Ford

I decided to write about something that has little or nothing to do with interior design really. But it is Christmas related so there you go. Tom Ford has created a x-mas scent which has Patchouli as it´s key note. I know it´s available from Harrod´s London. But you can always try a well sorted perfume shop.

This is how they describe it: White Patchouli is a classically inspired reworking of one of perfumery’s most distinctive scents. Patchouli, the note synonymous with earthy beauty and non-conventional glamour, is transformed with a rush of white flowers.

Tech romance

these fashionable retro products combine the romance of vintage tech with the quality and functionality of the 21st century. Tristan Zimmerman designed this amazing white ceramic gramophone speaker to hold your iPod and enhance the audio output to 55 decibels. And this 21st-century sound system doesn’t need a power source. Instead, it relies on the laws of physics and 19th-century horn acoustics to function.

Rattan furniture

I checked out some websites today and found some great bamboo furniture. The old pieces are usually more genuine in their finish I find. Of course you might have to take better care of them and spruce them up a little but thats usually just fun. At least I think so.

Soon christmas is here again and along comes new trends in decorations. Antropologie has a wide range of fun and interesting christmas tree hangings. But you don´t need a christmas tree to hang decorations. Scatter them around your home or in flower pots. And start a collection that you add something to it every year. And soon enough you have an interesting and fun collection. A great homepae for inspiration and shopping is Blumchen that sells decorations for all major holidays.

Ware House Style

Sure a ware house can make any interior look great. But seriously with some extra effort to source the right things your home can look fabulous too. Don´t be afraid to mix several different patterns and colour combinations. Start out with samples from fabrics, wallpapers, materials and colour swatches so you can carry them with you and compare with things you find on your hunt for the perfect room.
